Caterham Surgical was established in 1976 growing from its parent trade company Baker & Thomson to establish a repair & supply of surgical instruments to Hospitals Direct.

Over the years we have introduced top quality brands to our portfolio such as LAWTON, BOWA ELECTRONIC, RILEY MEDICAL and CUDA Fibreoptics to compliment our own range of Instruments.

Surgical Instrument Group Holdings Ltd (SIGH) made their first acquisitions in 1997 by purchasing Baker & Thomson and Caterham Surgical Supplies Ltd. This provided the basis for manufacture and repair whilst SIGH was already the UK distributor for MICRO FRANCE Laparoscopic instruments.
